Job Description

The Estacada School District has emerged as a national leader in improvement science methodology. The Estacada School District is seeking a full‑time Science/Forestry, CTE Teacher to work at Estacada High School for the 2026/2027 school year. The teacher will instruct a comprehensive pathway that builds students’ foundational skills and real‑world experience across forestry and natural resources, emphasizing hands‑on learning in forest management, wood products, and land stewardship. The teacher will also engage in continuous improvement to keep the program aligned with state standards, student learning objectives, and workforce needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction and assessment in the Science, Forestry, and Natural Resources CTE program.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum and instructional materials that incorporate hands‑on learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in DuFour Model Professional Learning Communities.
  • Apply proficiency‑based grading practices to support student learning.
  • Promote inclusive practices and meet the needs of students and the community.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities to refine program effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
  • Valid Preliminary or Professional Oregon TSPC License (or eligibility to obtain a license prior to first day) with the proper endorsement(s); preference for science or CTE endorsements.
  • Preferred industry experience in forestry, natural resources, or a related field.
  • Strong support for a continuous learning model, proficiency‑based learning and grading, and willingness to take educational risks.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Bilingual Spanish skills preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility to work in person, on campus, and/or virtually.
  • Meet the district minimum physical requirements, basic skills, and health standards for the position.
Salary, Benefits, and Contract
  • $61,130 – $106,521 (pro‑rated for actual days worked, dependent on verified years of experience and education).
  • 1‑Year Probationary Contract, renewable by March 15, 2027.
  • 4‑day student week; additional professional development days.
  • Employee‑paid PERS.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
