In partnership with the communities we serve, Northwest Regional ESD improves student learning by providing equitable access to high quality services and support.

General Description:

In alignment with the NWRESD's mission statement, this position serves as the regional connector between Tillamook County K–12 school districts, Tillamook Bay Community College, universities, workforce partners, and students to create seamless pathways from middle school through postsecondary education, credential attainment, and employment.

The Specialist leads regional efforts to expand dual credit participation, strengthen college-going cultures, coordinate accelerated learning opportunities, and support the implementation of Rural Guided Pathways throughout Tillamook County.

In addition, this position provides operational leadership for dual credit program implementation by supporting compliance, instructor alignment, student access, program coordination, and successful transitions from high school to postsecondary education and the workforce.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, workforce development, business, public administration, community development, counseling, marketing, or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the position.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience coordinating projects, programs, partnerships, or initiatives within education, workforce development, community organizations, or a related field.
  • Experience building and maintaining collaborative partnerships with multiple stakeholders, such as school districts, higher education institutions, businesses, community organizations, government agencies, or workforce partners.
  • Experience planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating projects or programs, including managing timelines, communications, meetings, events, and/or reporting requirements.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Preferred:
  • Master's Degree in education, workforce development, business or related field
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Career Connected Learning
    • Career and Technical Education (CTE)
    • Dual Credit or Accelerated Learning
    • Postsecondary Pathways
    • STEM education
    • Workforce development
  • Experience facilitating meetings, professional learning, training, or technical assistance.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to support continuous improvement, grants, or program evaluation.
  • Experience working with rural communities and diverse populations.
  • Experience with grant-funded programs, regional collaborations, or cross-sector partnerships.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, particularly English/Spanish.
  • Experience with Oregon accelerated learning, dual credit systems, and postsecondary transitions preferred.
