Jefferson County School District is seeking Educational Assistants I & II to substitute as needed during the school year. This posting is for the school year. At the direction of the building administrator, the Educational Assistant assists teachers and Special Education Teachers by performing a variety of tasks that promote student learning and well-being. Duties may involve working with students individually and in small groups, reinforcing instruction, motivating learning, assisting students with disabilities, with behavior management, and other non-instructional work.

Minimum Qualifications

Have a high school diploma or the equivalent;

Be at least 18 years of age; and

Have standards of moral character as required of teachers (OAR ).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working as an educational assistant in a k-12 school district.
