Role OverviewThis position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of renewable energy systems, including wind turbine power generation, solar energy, and energy storage systems. The role involves conducting preventative maintenance, repairs, and system monitoring using SCADA systems and diagnostic tools. This position follows a 12‑hour rotating shift that requires working nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Key Responsibilities- Perform entry‑level preventive maintenance on wind turbine and solar energy systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
- Learn and utilize SCADA systems for remote diagnostics, performance monitoring, and service mode activation.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations.
- Work in varying weather conditions and climb turbine towers as required.
- Support bird mortality monitoring by pausing and unlocking turbines.
- Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: 0 to 5 years of experience.
- Skills: Non‑restricted current driver’s license with a clean driving record for the previous five years, and access to both NERC CIP unescorted physical and cyber systems.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Power Generation or Renewables is preferred.
The pay rate for this position is between $22.00 and $27.80 per hour.
