This position is open to two P-levels:
Associate Control Systems Specialist (Grade 5 / P1 - Entry) and Control Systems Specialist (Grade 6 / P2 - Intermediate). The level at which an offer is made will be determined based on the selected candidate s qualifications, skills, and experience.

As a Control Systems Specialist, you will deliver expert technical support for SCADA systems and Operational Technology computer networks across design, operations, and maintenance functions. This position requires strong analytical skills to interpret business processes and implement effective solutions.

• Associate Control Systems Specialist (Grade 5 / P1 - Entry)
• Production Control Systems:
  Assist in the configuration of devices used in the control systems and help technicians in troubleshooting problems.
• Assist engineering and project teams with programming, and commissioning of control systems.
• Support modification of programs for software applications for PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMIs.
• Assist in maintaining existing DCS and HMI platform(s), auxiliary control systems to minimize downtime and performance losses.
• Maintain user access to control systems.
• Troubleshooting and Analysis:
  With guidance, provide first-level support for troubleshooting system failures (controls/graphics, field devices, electrical) and IT platform issues (software applications, operating systems, networks).
• Testing and Controls:
  Complete performance tests of control equipment and systems, document results, maintain testing procedures, and perform system performance audits.
• Consultation and Leadership:
  Participate in project design reviews to ensure P&IDs and instrumentation specs meet standards; communicate with site management regarding product design and schedule; provide information to other team members.
• Compliance and Reporting:
  Ensure processes align to standards and regulations, maintain compliance documentation, run reports and analyze data, ensure safe work practices, and follow quality documentation processes before, during, and after testing.
• Project Coordination:
  Support site operational maintenance or testing elements in support of engineering and construction needs.

• Control Systems Specialist (Grade 6 / P2 - Intermediate)
• Production Control Systems:
  Lead site commissioning activities and train site personnel on control system applications; modify programs for PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMIs; maintain/enhance existing DCS/HMI platforms and auxiliary systems to minimize downtime; provide advanced configuration and troubleshooting; perform and document tasks in alignment with regulatory or compliance standards; manage user access; troubleshoot control systems and IT platform failures; develop and document performance tests and procedures;
  
  lead system performance audits; provide project leadership and coaching as needed.
• Consultation and Leadership:
  Provide input in design reviews; assist project teams with design/construction documents related to control systems; communicate with site management regarding project design and schedule; coach and guide team members.
• Compliance and Reporting:
  Ensure processes align to standards and laws; maintain compliance documentation; run reports and analyze data; ensure safe work practices; develop and follow quality documentation for testing.
• Project Coordination:
  Proactively identify new projects and support design, construction, operation, maintenance, and testing efforts across engineering needs.

Education
:
Requires a degree in engineering, project management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Experience
:

• P1:
  Typically two or fewer years of technical experience in control systems.
• P2:
  Typically 2 or more years of technical experience in control systems.

Certifications, Licenses and Training
:
CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+;
Cisco CCNA preferred but not required.
