PCT - Pacific Cast Technologies is seeking an Industrial Controls Engineer to support advanced aluminum casting and machining operations. You will design, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems, optimize automation for safety, quality, and throughput, and support new equipment installations. Responsibilities include controls integration, root-cause analysis of downtime, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and production teams. This role offers hands-on work in a precision manufacturing environment with opportunities for training, technical growth, and advancement in a global aerospace-focused organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and related industrial control systems
- Support installation, commissioning, and integration of new automated equipment and upgrades
- Diagnose and resolve control-system-related downtime and process issues using root-cause analysis
- Maintain and update electrical and controls documentation, schematics, and programs
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production to improve safety, quality, and throughput
- Implement control system changes to support process improvements and new product introductions
- Ensure compliance with safety, electrical, and industry standards in all controls work
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel
Required Skills
- PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley/Rockwell)
- HMI/SCADA configuration and troubleshooting
- Industrial networking (Ether
- Net/IP, Modbus, etc.)
- Electrical schematics reading and design
- VFD and motor control setup and tuning
- Industrial sensor and instrumentation integration
- Root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of automation systems
- Controls system commissioning and startup
- Process control and automation optimization
- Knowledge of NFPA/NEC and industrial safety standards
