PCT - Pacific Cast Technologies seeks an Industrial Automation Engineer to design, program, and optimize automation and controls for advanced aluminum investment casting operations. In this precision manufacturing environment, you will develop and support PLC/HMI systems, robotics, motion control, and data acquisition to improve safety, quality, throughput, and uptime. Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment, lead root cause analysis, and implement continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Design, program, and maintain PLC/HMI and controls systems for casting and machining equipment
- Implement and support industrial networks, sensors, and motion/drive systems
- Integrate robotics and automation solutions to improve safety, quality, and throughput
- Troubleshoot automation, controls, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime
- Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement projects on automated processes
- Develop and maintain control system documentation, drawings, and standards
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams on new equipment and upgrades
- Support data acquisition, SCADA, and OEE/metrics tracking for manufacturing performance
- Ensure compliance with safety, electrical, and industry standards in all automation work
- Provide training and technical support to maintenance and operations personnel
Required Skills
- PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley/Rockwell)
- HMI/SCADA development and support
- Industrial networking (Ether
- Net/IP, Modbus, etc.)

- Motion control and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
