Industrial Automation Engineer

PCT - Pacific Cast Technologies seeks an Industrial Automation Engineer to design, implement, and support automation solutions for aluminum investment casting operations. You will program and integrate PLCs, robotics, HMIs, and sensors to improve quality, throughput, and safety in a precision manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting control systems, optimizing processes, supporting new equipment installations, and collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation solutions for casting, machining, and finishing processes
• Program, configure, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and motion control systems
• Integrate sensors, vision systems, and data acquisition for process monitoring and quality control
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation, controls, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime
• Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of automated equipment and production lines
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to improve safety, quality, and throughput
• Develop and maintain documentation, schematics, and standard work for automated systems
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement
