Position Overview
The Public Safety Officer is an entry-level role responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all persons and property within Mt. Hood Meadows Resort, including but not limited to; equipment, offices, restaurants, properties, and retail locations. This may include foot patrols, responding to emergencies, completion of detailed reports, and interacting with local law enforcement. Our ideal candidate demonstrates diligence and integrity, while enhancing guest experience.
This is a part-time, seasonal position
Qualifications & Experience- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision; dependable
- Working knowledge of basic math, English grammar, writing and spelling for completion of required documentation
- Minimum Age 19 for company insurance purposes
- Must successfully pass a background check (see DPSST list of disqualifiers at https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).)
- Must have or be able to obtain a DPSST Unarmed Professional License within 30 days of 1st scheduled shift
- Must obtain CPR certification within 30 days of employment
- Must be able to commit to working weekends, holidays and overnights as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business
- Prior experience in the fire service, law enforcement, and/or military
Compensation:
- Starting Wage: $20.18 per hour
