ResponsibilitiesThe CFO is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the Southern Coos Health District's Financial Services Department. This includes the preparation of financial reports, summaries and forecasts for future business growth, and the general economic outlook. The CFO provides financial management oversight for the development of high‑quality, cost‑effective programs within the District and oversees major workforce and resource decisions.
The CFO supervises the following departments: financial accounting, patient accounting, admissions, materials management, and plant operations. The Chief Financial Officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
The COO has responsibility for day‑to‑day operations of the facility and related services, ensuring that staff deliver high quality, cost‑effective care. The COO optimizes hospital operations in the following areas: quality and patient safety; the patient experience; facility expansion & capacity management; and strategic planning & operations excellence. The COO mentors and supports hospital administrators, board of directors, medical staff, and other hospital personnel.
The COO manages department budgets, identifies new business lines, increases revenue, and pursues innovative possibilities to enhance patient focus and community needs.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance, preferred.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information.
- Eight to ten years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi‑faceted direction and planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
This is a Full‑Time, benefit‑eligible position. SCHHC pays the full employee‑only amount for Health, Dental, Vision, and Basic Life & AD&D insurance.
