OpportunityWe are seeking a Controller to lead our accounting operations and serve as a key financial partner to leadership and operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a project‑based, manufacturing, or construction environment and wants to play a meaningful role in driving financial performance and operational insight. You’ll ensure financial accuracy and compliance, and help turn financial data into decisions that improve cost control, margins, and long‑term business outcomes.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Deliver accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee audits.
- Oversee job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition.
- Analyze production costs, labor, and margins.
- Partner with operations to improve cost visibility and pricing decisions.
- Lead budgeting processes.
- Provide variance analysis and financial modeling.
- Maintain internal controls, policies, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and lenders.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
- Develop and lead the accounting team (AP/AR).
- Drive system improvements, process efficiency, and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including accounting leadership.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or project‑based industries.
- Strong background in job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition.
- Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Cost accounting and operational finance expertise.
- Advanced Excel and ERP systems (Net Suite preferred).
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- High integrity, accountability, and strong communication skills.
