Entry Level or Lateral Police Officer – Cottage Grove Police Department, Cottage Grove, Oregon.

• Age: 21 years or older
• Citizenship:
  United States citizen required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Oregon Driver's License required
• Ability to read and speak English
• Vision meeting Department of Public Safety Standards and Training requirements
• For lateral applicants: at least Basic certification from the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, or an equivalent out-of-state certification recognized by DPSST

• Complete and pass the National Testing Network (NTN) required training
• Complete and pass the Oregon Police Application Test (ORPAT)

• Provide a completed City of Cottage Grove Application
• Submit resume

• Applicants must pass written, physical, oral, background, medical, and psychological examinations
• Mandatory review of criminal activity, employment history, omissions, inaccuracies, or incomplete information
• Conduct must not compromise the integrity of the employee, other employees, or the department

• Annual Salary: $63,348 – $86,503.08 (depending on experience and qualifications)
