Adapt Integrated Health Care is looking for a School Based Therapist to join their behavioral health team!
The School Based Therapist provides integrated outpatient mental health treatment services in a school setting that supports and promotes mental health recovery. The School Based Therapist provides individual, family, and group therapy for youth who have been referred by a Douglas County School district. The School Based Therapist collaborates and educates school staff on best mental health practices.
Therapists facilitate access for mental health treatment at Adapt; provide therapeutic interventions including informed consent, advocacy, and integrated care; assist with access to community resources; facilitate development and retention of natural and community supports; provide appropriate individual, group, and community psycho-education; actively work to reduce stigma, barriers, and to build a community foundation for success.
Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, behavioral science, or related field,
* Current MHACBO eligibility/registration as a QMHP or current Oregon Licensing Board Associate Registration
* Experience in a mental health supported educational setting is preferred.
* Must be 21+ and possess valid driver's license
Primary Responsibilities:
* Provides Treatment Services through assessments and evaluations, including case management, consultation, individual group, and family therapy treatment which promotes recovery, resiliency, wellness, independence, and safety for individuals receiving addictions and mental health treatment services and supports through prescription of outpatient treatment services
* Performs many functions and provide a wide array of treatment interventions to child and family clientele at CHA including crisis intervention, assessment and the collaborative development of Individual Service and Support Plans (ISSP); and provides intervention in provision of crisis services as necessary
* Creates access that enables clientele to obtain needed resources, supports, and treatment services (e.g., substance use, medical) through referral, consultation, coordination, case management, and advocacy; provides consultation and training for and with clients, staff, professionals, other services agencies and the public; attends unit meetings and workshops; develops, modifies, and/or obtains training programs and materials in consultation with the program manager.
* Maintains and completes required records, reports, and documentation as required by departmental policy and state law; provides documentation and written communications.
* Participates in professional development through individual and group supervision, unit and agency staff meetings, workshops and Essential Learning tutorials; develops, modifies, and or obtains training programs and materials in consultation with supervisor and program manager; promotes peer professional development by sharing training materials and/or training others in successful interventions.
