Emergency Medical Technician Per Diem, Day Shift

Located off the beautiful Oregon Coast, Adventist Health Tillamook has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1950. Assists in providing direct, and in-direct patient care under direction of appropriate personnel or leadership (e.g. registered nurses and providers). Provides individualized care plan for patient presentation. Acts as a clinical resource for students, those being oriented and volunteers.

• High School Education/GED or equivalent:

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification:
  Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy:
  Required
• Valid Oregon EMT License:
  Required in OR (National Registry Preferred)
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider or equivalent from approved vendor per AH policy:
  Required in OR
• NAEMT PHTLS or equivalent within 6 months:
  Required in OR
• EVOC/EVOS or equivalent:
  Required in OR
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Emergency Medical Tech (NEMT):
  Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy:
  Required
• Driver's License (DL):
  Required

• Provides individualized care plan for patient presentation within the EMT scope of practice.
• Collects, records and communicates basic patient data, current and changing status as needed.
• Cleans, inspects, assembles and sterilizes trays and equipment in accordance with established departmental procedures.
• Takes immediate and appropriate action upon occurrence of emergency situation within job description and policies.
• Participates in continuing/advanced education which demonstrates employee commitment to improving capabilities.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
