Summary
An exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) with a healthcare client to operate specialized ultrasound equipment and produce high quality images used by physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
Minimum Requirements- National certification in specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
- BLS Certification.
- Experience with general ultrasound; vascular and cardiac/echo modalities preferred.
- Multi-modality skills may be eligible for additional compensation.
- Comfort with working in a rural hospital setting and small‑town community.
- Ability to participate with radiologists and physicians by contributing technical and professional knowledge, following exam protocols, reviewing pathology/surgical/delivery reports as appropriate, and applying clinical judgment in imaging procedures.
- Willingness to work days with typical schedule Monday‑Friday.
- Open to relocation; eligible for sign‑on and relocation assistance per hiring client policy.
- Operate specialized ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images.
- Assist radiologists and physicians with technical expertise during imaging procedures.
- Follow exam protocols and review pathology or surgical reports as appropriate.
- Apply clinical judgment to ensure accurate imaging results.
Competitive pay structure with additional compensation available for added modalities (ultrasound, vascular, cardiac/echo). Relocation assistance and sign‑on bonus available for qualifying candidates. Annual compensation review and cost‑of‑living adjustments considered.
LocationJohn Day, OR – scenic Pacific Northwest with a quiet rural lifestyle. Outdoor recreation such as hiking, hunting, and fishing in nearby national forest and river areas. Baker City is approximately one hour away for additional services. Regional airports three hours away. Lower cost of living compared with metropolitan centers and a close‑knit local community.
