• Prepare the operating room, ensure sterile technique, and pass instruments to the surgical team during procedures
• Maintain a sterile field, manage instrument counts, and assist surgeons and circulating staff as needed
• Anticipate equipment and supply needs; handle implants, prosthetics, and specialized instruments per procedure
• Support patient safety and comfort, document intraoperative activities, and participate in sponge, sharps, and counts
• Communicate clearly with the team, adapt to changes in procedure flow, and uphold standards of asepsis and patient care

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program with an Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion
• Certification:
  Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required or eligible
• Certifications:
  
  CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor per AH policy is preferred
• Experience:
  
  Prior surgical technology experience is beneficial; ability to work in a fast‑paced operating room environment
• Other:
  Availability to work the assigned 4x9s schedule and to operate within a rural care setting
