Surgical Technician - Operating Room, FTE

Full‑Time Surgical Technician – Operating Room at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. Day shift, four 10‑hour shifts per week with one call per week and a 48‑hour weekend every 6–7 weekends. $8,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible external candidates.

Works closely with all members of the surgical team to provide direct patient care, optimizes positive surgical outcomes, assists the surgeon during procedures by providing sutures, supplies, instruments and equipment, and maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure.

• Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the CAAHEP or ABHES and holding an active certification by the NBSTSA, JCAHPO, or NCCT.
• Completion of a training program in a branch of the armed forces or in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and completion of 16 hours of continuing education every two years.
• Grandfathered based on work experience in an ASC, hospital, or federal government agency between January 1, 2014 and January 1, 2017 only and completion of 16 hours of continuing education every two years.
• National Provider BLS (American Heart Association) upon hire.

$30.92 – $47.30 per hour, with potential for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
