Job Overview:
An Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients with physical impairments, disabilities, or pain. They work with patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, to restore their physical function and improve their mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess patients' physical condition, medical history, and treatment goals.
- Develop treatment plans based on patient needs, including exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic techniques.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide education to patients and their families about exercises, injury prevention, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to coordinate patient care.
- Stay current with advances in physical therapy treatments and techniques.
Requirements:
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Oregon.
- 3+ years experience in outpatient orthopedics.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy with DPT degree in physical therapy.
