Job Title: Clinical Dietitian
Job SummaryWe are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Clinical Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care for patients identified as being at nutritional risk. The Clinical Dietitian will perform nutrition assessments, develop individualized nutrition care plans, provide patient and family education, collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and ensure high-quality medical nutrition therapy in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or equivalent required
- Master's Degree required for candidates whose eligibility for the registration examination began on or after January 1, 2024
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship or equivalent required
- Experience as a Clinical Dietitian preferred
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required within six months of completion of residency program
- Oregon Dietitian Licensure required (for Oregon positions)
- Licensed Dietitian (LD) certification required
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills
- Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and identify patients at nutritional risk.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and update individualized nutrition care plans.
- Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluate patient response to treatment.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on nutrition-related conditions and dietary management.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document nutrition assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately.
- Monitor nutritional intake and recommend appropriate dietary interventions.
- Serve as an educational resource for healthcare staff, dietetic interns, patients, and families.
- Orient and train new clinical and support personnel as assigned.
- Supervise assigned personnel within scope of practice and competency.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
