Fauquier Health is seeking a dedicated, patient-centered Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in Warrenton, Virginia. As a key member of our community-focused and values-driven organization, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services to a diverse patient population across the continuum of care. You will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring function, reducing pain, improving mobility, and enhancing overall quality of life.
In this role, you will complete detailed musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and functional assessments; establish measurable, patient-specific goals; and select appropriate treatment techniques including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait and balance training, neuromuscular re-education, post-surgical rehabilitation, and modalities in accordance with current best practices. You will closely monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes and patient response, and provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, expectations, home exercise programs, and strategies to promote independence and prevent re-injury.
Working collaboratively within Fauquier Health’s interdisciplinary team, you will coordinate care with physicians, nurses, case managers, occupational and speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive, patient-centered experience. You will maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, adhering to all regulatory, billing, and quality standards. A strong focus on safety, infection control, and fall prevention is essential, as is effective communication with patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
You will have the opportunity to participate in program development, mentor or precept students as appropriate, and engage in community outreach and wellness initiatives that support our mission of serving the Warrenton and surrounding communities.
Candidates should hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program and be licensed or license-eligible as a Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. At least 1–3 years of clinical experience in an inpatient, outpatient, or acute care setting is preferred, though strong new graduates with demonstrated clinical competence and excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning, a commitment to evidence-based practice, proficient time management, and enthusiasm for working within a collaborative, patient-centered healthcare environment that emphasizes quality care, professional development, and community service.
