Optometric Technician - Central Oregon Eyecare, Sisters

What

You’ll Do
  • Assist optometrists in delivering outstanding patient care, from pre-screening to post-exam follow-up
  • Perform diagnostic tests, gather patient medical histories, and assist in educating patients about their vision benefits
  • Guide patients in contact lens training, insurance verification, and scheduling their next visit
  • Ensure smooth patient flow by coordinating appointments and managing office communications
  • Work closely with your team to meet individual and collective goals for optimal patient care and satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
  • 1+ year of experience in customer service (optometric experience preferred but not required!)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate and connect with patients
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities—you’ll be multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with a passion for self-improvement and a desire to learn new skills
  • Detail-focused and capable of documenting patient exams and procedures with accuracy
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules as needed and a proactive attitude toward team success

  • The position will be 32-40 hours per week if coverage is needed. Training will mostly take place in our Bend location. After that, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday they will be working in our Sisters location from 8:45‑5 pm, and Tuesdays will be in our Redmond location from 7:45‑5 pm.**
