About the Position

We are looking for a Residential Care Associate II to join our team at Madrone Ridge SRTF in Junction City, Oregon. This role requires support of residents according to their individualized treatment plan with a focus on personal care services, environmental intervention, and limited group social and recreational treatment activities. The Associate will also administer prescribed medications, follow physician orders, document on medical charts and count sheets, assist clients with medication self‑administration, transport clients as necessary, and maintain compliance with productivity standards for documentation of services.

This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit; wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Training Program

With our MHACBO‑accredited training program, you will earn CEUs toward applicable mental health certifications while attending required, paid training and receiving qualified clinical supervision and on‑the‑job experience.

Work Schedule

Sunday through Tuesday, 10:00 pm – 8:00 am (Part‑time, night).

Compensation

Starting at $22.50–$23.88 per hour, depending on experience and credentials.

Pay Differentials
  • Night Shift (NOC) Differential: additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 pm and 8:30 am, provided at least 2.5 hours of the shift occur within this time period.
  • Secure Program Differential: additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in an eligible secure program.
  • Bilingual Differential: additional 5% for employees who meet the CCS Language/Bilingual Program qualifications.
What You’ll Need

Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Associate registration through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). Eligibility requires one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science:
    Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting.
  • Equivalent combination of behavioral science education plus satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training.

Will be required to register as a QMHA‑R through MHACBO during the first week of employment.

Driving is an essential function. Successful applicants must provide a valid driver’s license from their state of residence within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and pass a DHS criminal background check.

Physical Demands

Requires the ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds. May require the ability to occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks. Must complete crisis de‑escalation and CPR trainings that include physical, hands‑on maneuvers and client transfers.
