Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, plan, and provide therapeutic interventions upon physician referral to reduce pain and improve, restore, or maintain physical function.
  • Treat patients with disabilities, disorders, and injuries using exercise, manual therapy, heat, cold, electrical modalities, and other appropriate techniques.
  • Educate patients and families about goals, home programs, and safety, coordinating with the broader health care team to align rehabilitation goals.
  • Reassess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as indicated, and document outcomes and progress in medical records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care and ensure continuity of rehabilitation services.
Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor of Science or master’s degree in physical therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-accredited program.
  • Licensure:
    Current licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Oregon State Board of Health.
  • Certifications:

    Current CPR certification.
  • Experience:

    Desired, but not necessary if requirements are met.
  • License/Certification prerequisites interpreted from Job Notes: must meet requisites for licensure as a Physical Therapist; current Oregon driver’s license may be required; ability to work in an acute care setting; strong communication and computer literacy skills.
