At Mountain Park, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of memory care in Clackamas County, OR, and we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver at Mountain Park Memory Care Community, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents who are experiencing Alzheimer's or another form of dementia.

About the Role:

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care to our residents, ensuring their social, spiritual, mental, and physical well-being. Our multifaceted approach focuses on fostering an independent lifestyle that is tailored to each resident's individual abilities. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans that promote resident autonomy and dignity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

  • Encourage socialization and engagement among residents through activities, games, and conversations

  • Assist with mealtime, including eating assistance and hydration

  • Monitor and report changes in resident behavior, mood, or condition to the healthcare team

  • Participate in training and education programs to stay up-to-date on best practices in dementia care

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of resident care and activities

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience working with seniors or individuals with dementia preferred

  • Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents as needed

  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
