Location: Willamina

Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for a therapist to work on the Family & Youth team providing mental health services to children and their families in the Willamina school-based health center. Duties will include engagement with school staff and students, crisis support, assessment, diagnoses, service planning and implementation, direct treatment, individual and family therapy, case management, outreach/consultation with education personnel and collaborative service documentation.

This position may be filled as either an Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician or a Behavioral Health Clinician, depending on experience and credentialing.

Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician Salary: $6450 - $8171/month (DOE)

Behavioral Health Clinician Salary: $5925 - $7571/month (DOE)

Qualifications:

Required

A master’s degree in a social services field from an accredited school is required in addition to:

Behavioral Health Clinician:

  • One year of experience as a Human Services Specialist I.
  • Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures ability to perform the work may substitute for the above.
  • Must qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP).

Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician:

  • Three years post-master’s clinical experience.
  • Active professional license in the state of Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP).
  • Must have an NPI number or be able to obtain one upon employment.

Preference will be given to those applicants with training and experience in evidence-based practices and experience providing intensive mental health and addictions services in a community-based setting.

Will be subject to successful completion of a background check.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have an understanding of youth/family developmental needs, have excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work in a team environment and to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner.

The position requires working knowledge of techniques specifically related to community mental health services and the ability to: understand the behavior of youth/families under stress, develop cooperative relationships with clients, their families, and the community, maintain relationships with school, physicians, law enforcement agencies, the courts, public and private administrators, and the community in general, interpret community mental health and chemical dependency services, and prepare concise and complete client treatment and progress records.
