About the Role

Are you an experienced Substance Abuse Clinician looking for a rewarding contract opportunity, a predictable weekday schedule, and the chance to make a direct impact through outpatient and community-based care?

We are seeking a skilled QMHP + CADC professional to join an established behavioral health team in Enterprise, OR. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive, whole-person care directly within the community—including client homes, residential facilities, schools, hospitals, and outpatient settings to ensure accessible, convenient treatment. Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Clinical Services & Therapy:
    Support individuals struggling with substance use disorders by providing individual, group, and family counseling, teaching coping mechanisms, and delivering standard therapy in outpatient and community settings.
  • Comprehensive Assessments & Care Planning:
    Conduct thorough clinical evaluations to assess client needs and support options. Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized treatment plans in close collaboration with clients and family members to ensure treatment objectives are met.
  • Community Coordination & Engagement:
    Work collaboratively with various community partners, including healthcare providers, housing organizations, social service agencies, and educational programs to connect clients with ongoing wrap-around supports.
  • Crisis Response & Follow-Up:
    Participate in a rotating crisis response schedule. Conduct team-based crisis visits across a wide county radius and perform critical follow-up care for potential crisis clients, outpatient individuals, and community referrals during downtime.
  • Setting:
    Outpatient Clinic & Community-Based Practice (Main Office and Secondary Site in Enterprise, OR). Company vehicle provided for crisis calls.
  • Hours:

    40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
  • Crisis Rotation:
    On-call crisis duties occur once per month for a 7-day period (Tuesday to Tuesday). On average, clinicians handle 1 crisis call per week (maximum 2-3) and always respond in teams of two.
  • Travel Scope:
    County-wide travel up to 1.5 hours each way for crisis calls (company vehicle provided strictly for official crisis use).
Qualifications & Skills Required
  • Certifications & Licenses:
    Active Oregon Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credentials and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification required. Active Driver’s License required.
  • Experience:

    Previous experience in a similar substance abuse counseling, outpatient therapy, or community mental health setting is required.
  • Technical Proficiency & Clinical

    Skills:

    Strong capability in conducting psychiatric/substance use evaluations, formulating individualized care plans, and managing both individual and group therapeutic dynamics.
  • Soft Skills:

    Compassionate communication, crisis de-escalation skills, adaptable demeanor, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary crisis team.
