Job Summary:

The Radiation Oncology Therapist is responsible for delivering precise radiation treatments to cancer patients, working closely with the medical team to interpret treatment plans and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret prescriptions and treatment plans to accurately deliver radiation therapy.
• Position and immobilize patients safely and consistently for treatment sessions.
• Operate linear accelerators and imaging equipment to facilitate precise treatment delivery.
• Monitor and observe patients for side effects or adverse reactions during treatments and report findings.
• Complete documentation, including portal images, treatment annotations, and chart checks in the electronic medical record system.
• Assist with equipment setup, quality immobilization device fabrication, and coordinate simulation procedures to support patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold current ARRT National Radiology Licensure and Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license.
• Possess a minimum of one year of Radiation Therapy experience.
• Successful completion of a Radiation Therapy program.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of linear accelerators (Varian True Beam, Edge, Trilogy, GE Lightspeed CT).
• Experience with SBRT, SRS, and Breathhold Visual Management techniques preferred.
• EPIC charting experience is required;
  Oregon CNA license must be in hand at submission.
