This travel assignment places you in an acute care setting focused on evaluating and restoring physical function through evidence-based occupational therapy. You’ll work with patients referred by physicians and collaborate with families and the health team to set and achieve meaningful goals.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients referred for occupational therapy and plan individualized treatment programs to relieve pain, restore function, and maximize independence.
  • Develop and implement therapy plans using a combination of exercises, manual techniques, modalities, and compensatory strategies as appropriate.
  • Monitor progress, reassess goals, adjust treatment plans, and engage family members and care teams in goal setting and discharge planning.
  • Document patient responses, progress notes, and outcomes; maintain accurate records and communicate changes to the physician and care team.
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and strategies to continue improvement after discharge.
Requirements
  • License:
    Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Oregon (Oregon State Board of Health) or equivalent licensure for practice in Oregon.
  • Education:

    Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-accredited program.
  • Certifications:

    Current CPR certification.
  • Experience:

    Relevant experience preferred but not required if all other requirements are met.
  • Other:
    Current valid Oregon driver’s license; ability to work in an acute care setting; basic computer literacy for charting and documentation.
