General

Summary

Ensure buildings and guest rooms are safe, clean, and welcoming upon guest’s arrival and throughout their stay at Menucha.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain clean and welcoming guest rooms.
  • Change and launder linens/towels as requested/required.
  • Prepare meeting rooms as requested/required.
  • Replenish bedroom, bathroom, supply closet, coffee station, and meeting room supplies.
  • Report needed/anticipated repairs to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Assistant.
  • Confirm building readiness to supervisor and guest services.
Job Scope

The job involves recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm and a moderate to high level of complexity. This job requires high attention to detail, flexibility, and problem-solving.

Supervisory Responsibility

The job requires no supervisory responsibilities.

Interpersonal Contacts

Contacts are made with Menucha staff and guests.

Specific

Job Skills
  • Ability to operate housekeeping equipment.
  • Possess knowledge of housekeeping policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of groups and notice preventive maintenance issues.
Education and/or Experience
  • No formal education is required.
  • Housekeeping experience is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred.
  • A Food Handlers Card is desirable but not required.
Job Conditions

Housekeeping activities require a high degree of mobility. The employee must be able to climb stairs and lift/carry up to 50 pounds of furniture, supplies, and equipment.
