The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the standards of cleanliness in assigned units are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service. They will follow required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing of, or moving objects/materials and/or the clean-up of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood in accordance with OSHA Blood‑borne Pathogen Standards, and assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.
The Room Attendant will conduct themselves in a manner that supports Sunriver Resort’s Core Values of Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment, delivering exceptional service to all internal and external guests at all times. They exemplify the Resort Culture and actively support its Vision and Mission to be the destination of choice for guests, owners, and associates.
Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness of resort property, including all accommodations within Caldera Springs, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
- Assist with cleanliness of public facilities such as Lake House and Forest House as needed
- Clean and sanitize all designated areas to Sunriver Resort standards
- Perform deep cleans of properties
- Exterior sweeping and cleaning of outdoor furnishings
- Maintain constant awareness of safety issues (e.g., broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons) and report safety incidents to the on‑duty supervisor
- Act responsibly toward all company property, supplies, and equipment
- Change soiled linens on beds and make beds following resort protocol
- Keep housekeeping caddy clean, stocked, and orderly at all times
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal
- Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, guest amenities, linens, and bathroom linens
- Dust window blinds
- Follow through on lost and found procedures; no articles shall be removed from occupied rooms, respecting guest property at all times
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, woodwork, waxing, and polishing as needed
- Operate mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.
- Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers daily
- Report needed repairs immediately to supervisor (e.g., leaky faucets, loose tile, broken windowpanes, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair)
- Report to work on time, maintain accurate time records, and follow proper standards for issuance of rooms
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping/custodial experience preferred
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- At least one year of customer service experience preferred
Job Requirements
- Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with guests and associates
- Must be able to stand on feet throughout the day, with intermittent periods of walking and stair climbing
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds occasionally, and rarely 50 pounds (with assistance)
- Must be able to twist, bend, and squat frequently; kneel or crawl occasionally; infrequently climb a ladder
- Must be able to work in warm or cold environments, including walking outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat), with exposure to chemicals and dust
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements and simple grasping constantly; push and pull, squeeze, and overhead reach frequently
