Overview
Forest House Welcome Desk Agent is the first point of contact for owners/guests and responsible for the overall guest recreational experience at the Forest House. They will perform facility check‑in duties, maintain facility standards (game room, gym, locker rooms, etc.), handle retail sales, and uphold all usage policies. The Forest House Front Desk Agent Lead will maintain the AAA Four Diamond standards.
They will always conduct themselves in a manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort:
Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. The Forest House Desk Agent shall strive to always provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests, exemplify the Sunriver Resort Culture, and promote Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice.
- Maintain retail standards, upkeep and restock displays, and keep all desk resources organized.
- Learn and utilize Duckpin Bowling and Technogym equipment and provide instruction for owners on membership and the Technogym app.
- Perform all opening and closing procedures and keep the building presentable during business hours.
- Handle daily registration, enforce facility check‑in requirements, and process payments for cabanas, daybeds, and duckpin bowling rentals as well as merchandise.
- Provide a warm and sincere welcome/farewell to all guests, using the guest’s name and maintaining good eye contact.
- Accept and forward incoming guest correspondence appropriately.
- Resolve guest problems and communicate pertinent information to the Forest House Manager.
- Provide current knowledge of all resort amenities and special events.
- Follow procedures for posting charges, cashing checks, and issuing refunds.
- Verify owner and rental guest for pool access and inform them of pool procedures.
- Inform the Forest House Manager or Director of Recreation of any safety or maintenance needs.
- Maintain Family Game Room, Duckpin Bowling, Fitness Center, and locker rooms to facility standards throughout the day.
- Assist other resort departments professionally and provide necessary information.
- Communicate about safety issues (e.g., broken glass, frayed cords, leaks, broken locks, suspicious persons) and report incidents to the manager.
- Act responsibly toward all company property, supplies, and equipment, and maintain a professional appearance per Sunriver Resort dress code.
- Stay alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times.
- Perform phone operations and concierge duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of customer service experience required.
- Two‑ or four‑year degree in business, communications, public relations, hospitality, or another related field preferred.
- Prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent phone etiquette.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking.
- Must occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Must perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, repetitive hand & arm movements, and occasional squeezing & overhead reaching.
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces.
