• Sell hotel guestrooms, convention center, and banquet facilities through direct client contact to maximize total convention center and hotel room revenues and profits.
• Establish client base of organizations, associations, social groups, and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales to secure business for the resort.
• Ensure that predetermined sales expectations are met or exceeded.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to produce group and/or convention business.
• Negotiate guest room rates in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Hospitality, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Confirm agreements in writing and forward documents to client and affected hotel departments.
• Conduct tours of the hotel, convention, and banquet facilities; entertain qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures.
• Forecast and accurately record all bookings and cancellations.
• Work with outside channels and agencies to promote convention services in extended markets.
• Attend and represent company at trade shows and city-wide conventions.
• Provide feedback and counseling to correct or improve performance; oversee and participate in staff evaluations and Personal Improvement Plans to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor and review policies and procedures and productivity standards for staff.
• Develop job specifications and training manuals; oversee training for respective areas.
• Provide leadership mentoring and team‑member development opportunities to managers and supervisors.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Two years of experience in conference or hotel sales required. Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.
• Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and tasks at once.
• Intermediate computer skills in MS Office and Outlook required.
• Food Handlers Certificate and OLCC License required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older with the ability to obtain and maintain a Class III Gaming License.
• Current and valid Oregon Driver’s License with the ability to qualify for the UIDC’s Drivers Program.
