SummaryThe Director of People & Culture is a strategic leader responsible for aligning HR initiatives with business goals. This role oversees all HR functions including recruitment, talent management, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and compensation and benefits. The Director partners closely with senior leadership and homeowners to foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture while driving employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with company goals and long‑term growth
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational structure, and employee matters
- Lead and support a small HR team, ensuring strong people operations and engagement
- Oversee full‑cycle recruiting, onboarding, high‑volume seasonal hiring, and employee housing
- Drive performance management processes including goal setting, reviews, and feedback
- Promote a positive workplace culture through employee relations, engagement, and retention initiatives
- Provide guidance on conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
- Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs in partnership with leadership
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Track and analyze HR metrics, providing insights on workforce trends and performance
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint for HR metrics tracking, reporting, and team organization; ability to maintain structured, accessible systems for data and documentation
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field
- 8+ years of HR experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role
- HR certification preferred (SHRM, HRCI, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of Oregon employment law and compliance
