Overview of Position:

The position involves planning, organizing, and implementing structured treatment for patients. Provides both group and individual programs for various diagnoses and symptoms.

Essential Duties:

Collect and interpret diagnostic data considering current presentation and medical history.

Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and set patient-specific goals.

Supervise and direct treatment activities of SLP/CFYs and students.

Initiate patient care activities promptly and adhere to treatment schedules.

Ensure accurate and timely submission of patient charges.

Complete competency checklists and annual training as appropriate.

Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant documentation.

Be willing and able to cross-train as needed within scope of practice.

Assist with orientation of new staff and students.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology program.

Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology.

Current Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist license and CCC or conditional licensure with a plan to obtain CCC within 9 months.

Attention to detail and clinical experience, including at least one rotation in a rehab setting.

Valid driver’s license and auto insurance for Home Care roles.

Emphasizes quality, courtesy, empathy, respect, and responsiveness in all interactions. Promotes safety and maintains a positive, respectful environment.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Includes lifting (up to 50 lbs), observing and responding to patient needs, dealing with aggressive behaviors, and willingness to work various shifts and travel as needed.
