Shift: Monday – Thursday 5:00 am – 3:30 pm
Job SummaryUnder supervision, responsibilities include setting up and operating moderately difficult machines, including but not limited to lasers, press brakes, and machining operations. The worker must meet company quality standards and perform basic preventive maintenance while reading moderately difficult blueprints.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate moderately difficult machines such as lasers, press brakes, and machining equipment.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and keep equipment clean and functional.
- Lay out and perform machine operations from drawings or instructions.
- Use inspection instruments to check work and assist in resolving machine issues.
- Oversee parts: assemble parts, move finished parts, use inspection instruments to resolve discrepancies, and perform other assigned duties.
- Communicate and document tasks through conversation and formal/informal documents.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- One to two years or more of related experience.
- Follow safety rules and procedures, and wear personal protective equipment.
- Keep work area clean.
- Complete responsibilities in a timely, professional, and quality manner.
- Analyze problems, search for relevant information, and evaluate its importance when making decisions.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing, expressing oneself clearly in technical and non‑technical terms.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn, seek development activities, and learn from team members.
- Cross‑train and work in other departments as necessary.
- Available to work on site as required by the job.
- Available to work first shift hours.
- Operator works a 40‑hour week, plus overtime as required to meet production schedules.
- Manual dexterity: moderate speed and accuracy required.
- Physical effort: steady active exertion with occasional exposure to moderately disagreeable features.
- Hazards: potential injury from accidents may require medical care.
