We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
PositionSummary
Temporary, Non-Exempt, Full Time, Benefitted position through 6/30/2027 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $3,700.00-$4,600.00 per month.
Location: Off Campus. vCSRI Center, San Bernardino.
Work Schedule8:45 AM - 5:15 PM, Monday - Friday (with some evenings and Saturdays required and hours are subject to change depending on business requirements).

Typical ActivitiesUnder minimal supervision of the Center Manager, the Caseworker will work independently to:
Client Intake, Assessment and Support- Conduct intake to orient and assess client needs, goals, and risk factors.
- Develop individualized and tailored case management plans including exit planning for after care services.
- Provide guidance and referrals to resources such as housing, job training, counseling, legal services, etc.
- Provide face-to-face interaction and communication with client to monitor progress and provide ongoing support to ensure they remain on track with their case management plan.
- Continuously update case management plan by assisting client in identifying and responding to barriers.
- Continuously maintain current and accurate records of client interactions and progress.
- Compile reports for supervisors and stakeholders as required.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal standards meeting including applicable HIPAA standards.
- Work in partnership with colleagues, parole officers, service providers, and community organizations to coordinate care.
- Ensure clients receive necessary resources and fair treatment.
- Facilitate access to additional reentry resources and support.
- Stay informed about current trends, policies, and resources related to case management and client services.
- Participate in ongoing team meetings, trainings and certification programs as required.
Occasional travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Experience: Associate degree or higher and a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with the criminal justice population; OR a high school diploma, or its equivalent, and a minimum of four (4) years of experience working in a similar position with the criminal justice population.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients and other professionals.
- Knowledge of reentry programs, criminal justice systems, and resources.
- Ability to use standard office equipment and standard office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, email, internet programs and communication platforms, such as Zoom, and related computer software programs. Typing/keystroke skills are required; a speed of 45 WPM is necessary.

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, or a related human services field.
