Description
AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to keep the cloud running. You’ll work with a diverse team of engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to deliver the highest standards of safety, security, and capacity at the lowest possible cost.
Key Responsibilities- Scale support for multiple data center locations and manage day‑to‑day capacity needs.
- Collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to execute projects directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
- Support large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks, including implementation, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Establish and follow best practices, refining operational procedures.
- Manage work and priorities via a ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
- Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
- Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in environments that operate 24/7, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
- Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
Traveling within and outside the regional work area is required. A reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license are necessary because company transportation is not provided.
Basic Qualifications- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in computer networking and with Linux operating systems.
- Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Comfort working in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking, stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
- Strong customer‑service skills and the ability to operate efficiently under pressure.

CompensationThe base hourly rate for this position in USA, OR, Boardman is 30.00 – 54.00 USD. Compensation includes sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and a comprehensive benefits package (health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, parental leave, etc.).
