Network Install Technician, DCC Communities

Transform network infrastructure by joining our dynamic team! You will develop automated systems that power global technological advancement, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, troubleshoot complex scenarios, and implement strategic solutions to keep the network running seamlessly.
Key Job Responsibilities- Move and implement large enterprise equipment
- Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cabling between equipment
- Ensure proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation
- Follow established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities
- Safely use material handling tools and equipment
- Travel within and outside the regional work area as required
- Regularly lift or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
- Work in a 24/7 environment with primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed
- Operate in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely
- Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed
- Willingness to work temporarily at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational
- Travel frequency will vary based on business needs
- Must be able to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites
- 1+ years of computer networking experience
- 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience with computer networking
- Experience working with Linux operating systems
- Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Can work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
- Effective customer interaction during problem resolution and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
