DCO Technician IV, DCC Communities

Overview

Transform network infrastructure by joining our dynamic team and developing innovative solutions to improve network stability and scalability.

• Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
• Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cabling between equipment.
• Ensure proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
• Follow established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.
• Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
• Travel within and outside the regional work area as required.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in a 24/7 environment with primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
• Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.

• Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
• Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational.
• Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility.
• Candidates must be able to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites as required.

• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
• 18+ months of experience in data center or critical environment or similar technical roles: computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations.
• 18+ months of experience with network cabling, optical types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR, etc.).

• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT‑related field.
• Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA).
• Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
