Role OverviewAs a Data Center Technician, you will be a primary resolver for the support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware infrastructure issues. You will create and maintain documentation on supported technologies and effectively pass down knowledge to junior staff. This role requires working autonomously to resolve most support issues and executing small projects independently.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware infrastructure issues.
- Create and maintain documentation on supported technologies.
- Pass down knowledge of technologies to junior staff members.
- Perform remote system administration tasks as part of a virtual team.
- Automate tasks with scripts where necessary.
- Execute small projects and assist in planning larger local projects.
- Act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians.
- Understand all aspects of the equipment you support.
Experience: Proven experience in a data center or technical support environment. Ability to work autonomously and make decisions while also taking direction.
Technical
Skills:
Basic to intermediate system administration skills are required. The ability to automate tasks with scripts is necessary.
This position requires adherence to a set shift schedule. Possible shift durations for the contract are:
- Sunday - Wednesday (6:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
- Sunday - Wednesday (7:30 AM to 6:00 PM)
- Sunday - Wednesday (6:00 PM to 4:30 AM)
- Sunday - Wednesday (7:30 PM to 6:00 AM)
- Wednesday - Saturday (6:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
- Wednesday - Saturday (7:30 AM to 6:00 PM)
- Wednesday - Saturday (6:00 PM to 4:30 AM)
- Wednesday - Saturday (7:30 PM to 6:00 AM)
Pay rate: $20.00–$26.00 per hour. Specific compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
