Network Deploy Technician IV, Global Network Delivery; GND

AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. The role requires minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks and to assist in developing innovative ways to automate and scale our network.

• Scale support of several data center locations and assist with day‑to‑day capacity management.
• Work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
• Leverage experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks as well as network implementation and troubleshooting.
• Provide management and support of AWS’s vast network infrastructure, establishing and following best practices and refining operational procedures.
• Work with a ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects; collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.

Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required. Applicants must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in a 24/7 environment, participating in primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
• Work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments.
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.

• Experience working in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).

The base salary range for this position is $30.00 – $54.00 USD hourly. Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package including sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
