We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next‑generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.

Key responsibilities include scaling support of several data center locations, day‑to‑day capacity management, and working closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers. You will leverage your experience supporting large scale, enterprise‑class networks and network implementation and troubleshooting, working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

  • Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
  • Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
  • Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
  • Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
  • Work in an environment that operates 24/7, participate in primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed
  • Work in cramped, elevated and/or noisy environments
  • Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day
  • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation

Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required. You must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience
  • High school or equivalent diploma
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment & troubleshooting methodologies
  • Industry standard certifications (BICSI, CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
  • Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR and power meters
  • Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF)
