Summary of Duties

As an employee working in the Self‑Sufficiency Program (SSP), you will provide resources and services to help people move out of poverty and toward whole well‑being. Programs include food benefits, cash assistance, childcare assistance, medical, services for domestic violence survivors, resources for refugees and support for youth experiencing homelessness.

As a Human Services Supervisor 2 in White City you will:

  • Provide leadership and perform administrative functions to carry out objectives and goals of the department, and to implement the department’s vision using local community resources and department staff and programs.
  • Work in partnership with the community to develop and create services to meet the needs of families and individuals unique to the community.
  • Manage and direct branch self‑sufficiency team, local programs and community collaboration efforts by assigning work procedures consistent with the department’s policies, recommending revisions to department policies and procedures, establishing work schedules, and monitoring work performed by office staff to meet agreed upon goals, objectives and targets.
  • Help design, implement, evaluate and modify programs and services legislated by federal, state and local governments in collaboration with management partners, both public and private.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Four years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR
  • One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Strength‑based approach to supporting employees and Oregonians requesting services.
Working Conditions

Works in an integrated office environment where diverse programs, partners and staff create the work team.
