Machinist II – Machine Shop

KEITH Walking Floor Systems provide horizontal loading/unloading solutions for bulk materials, pallets, bales and rolls. The company’s state-of-the-art production facility in Madras, Oregon operates using Lean Manufacturing practices.

Current Shift: 4 – 10’s (M-Th 5:00am-3:30pm) Overtime may be required.

• Create a variety of production parts and prototype parts.
• Read G codes and edit programs.
• Operate specific machines during machine production; loading and unloading material or parts from the machine; and making minor adjustments to the machine controls.
• Use and read measuring tools.
• Understand and follow technical drawings.
• Perform machine maintenance and repair.
• Responsible for checking completed parts to meet KEITH Quality Control Standards.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Minimum 1-year experience.
• Proficient in reading G code.
• Proficient in reading tape measure, level, square, calipers and precision measuring tools.
• Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required.)
• Pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug test.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Physical requirements include the ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time. Lift 25 lbs. repetitively and up to 60 lbs. Production facility exposed to continual machine noise.
• Equipment / Machinery Used:
  Various machinery including CNC Mills, Lathes, Grinders and Forklift. Calipers, bore gauges, micrometers and other precision measuring tools and hand tools.
