This position's primary function is to keep the facility clean in order to eliminate safety and fire hazards. The individual in this position will work in the Sawmill and Planer; they are asked to perform the following tasks: general facility clean up including picking up slabs, sticks, sawdust, chips off lower mill floors, and assist with dust mitigation.

Shift is depending on needs of operation – Day or Swing.

• Pick up slabs, sticks, sawdust, and chips off lower mill floors.
• Assist with dust mitigation.
• Maintain a safe environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Must complete and pass the Rolling Stock training classes and re-certify annually.
• Must complete Chainsaw safety class before using a chainsaw.
• Maintain training in safety and how to lock out machinery before getting under, around, or in machinery will be required.
• Follow lockout procedures and company policy.
• Apply good housekeeping standards to your work area or any area you observe.
• Assist in other areas/jobs in the mill when needed/assigned.
• Must be able to safely work at a moderate to fast pace.
• Lifting 20-30 pounds on a continuous basis.
• Must be willing to learn new skills.
• Be a team player and self‑starter.

• Completion of high‑school or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Sawmill experience preferred but not required.
• Must complete and pass the Rolling Stock training classes and re-certify annually.
• Must complete Chainsaw safety class before using a chainsaw.
