Required Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED
* Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, on-call and rotating shifts, and holidays
* Experience with reading blueprints and precision measurements
* Troubleshooting experience
* Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation
* Able to work in extreme heat/cold, navigate catwalks and ladders - physical ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which includes climbing stair, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping and bending
* Ability to communicate effectively and constructively
* Comprehension of complex work instructions and documentation
* Ability to work with mathematical concepts in an industrial environment
* Basic trade skills in industrial equipment repair and execution of routine preventative maintenance of heavy industrial equipment
* Knowledge of Mig, Tig and Arc welding
* Machinist training and experience
* Stable employment history with a minimum two years of experience in Industrial Maintenance work OR equivalent education to include vocation/technical school certificate
* A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations
* Knowledge of bearing installment, coupling, belts, sprockets and chain drive installations
* Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Basic knowledge of metal fabrication
* Basic knowledge of cylinder repair
* Working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issues
* Models company core values
Preferred Qualifications
* Vocational or technical school certificate in related area
* Past employment experience in manufacturing environment
* Past employment in a plywood or veneer manufacturing facility
* Experience with CMMS
* Knowledge of fire protection systems
* Proficient in the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring and test instruments
* Experienced in pneumatic, hydraulic and conveyor systems
* Excellent skills in root cause analysis
* Skilled in all aspects of mechanical maintenance
* Team oriented
* Willing and able to learn new jobs and skills
