Seed Processing Line Operator (Full‑Time, Direct Hire)
Location:
Tangent, Oregon
The Seed Processing Line Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating seed processing equipment to ensure efficient production and high‑quality output.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and operate seed processing equipment during production.
- Follow established procedures and documentation to maintain quality and prevent contamination.
- Communicate effectively during shift changes.
- Ensure proper labeling and tracking of products.
- Maintain quality and safety standards at all times.
- Perform product inspections and verify accuracy.
- Adjust and calibrate machinery to meet production specifications.
- Operate multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously for optimal efficiency.
- Utilize systems such as Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Train and support temporary staff in processing procedures.
- Monitor production indicators and identify maintenance needs.
- Operate a forklift to move inventory, pallets, and materials.
- Follow all workplace policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work a flexible or rotating schedule as needed.
- Occasionally travel or operate equipment as required.
- Maintain reliable attendance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Solid technical aptitude.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in production or manufacturing environments.
- Background in agriculture.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Familiarity with SCADA, HMI, or MES systems.
- Mechanical aptitude and general troubleshooting ability.
- Experience training others on equipment or systems.
- Hourly wage: $23.28.
