Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator
Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday–Friday
Overtime may be required
KEITH Walking Floor Systems provide horizontal loading/unloading solutions for bulk materials, pallets, bales and rolls. The company’s state-of-the-art production facility in Madras, Oregon operates using Lean Manufacturing practices. We are seeking high performance team members with a commitment to quality work with a positive attitude.
Essential Functions- Ensure that the company remains in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.
- Perform functions for reporting work related injuries/illnesses to Workers’ Compensation Insurance Carrier and/or OSHA.
- Maintain documentation for work site inspections and safety related training. Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.
- Manage hazardous waste collection/disposal activities and maintain documentation supporting DEQ/EPA Very Small Quantity Generator requirements.
- Work with managers on return-to-work programs.
- Work with team members in the shop approximately 60% of the time planning and resolving workplace safety concerns.
- Meet agreed upon Company and department goals in a timely manner.
- Coordinate monthly Safety Meetings and record meeting minutes.
- Coordinate plant safety walks and record findings.
- Working knowledge of safety management information system.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Able to communicate in English with team members (speaking and reading, writing ability required).
- May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening.
- One - three years’ safety-related experience.
- Working knowledge of PC, Microsoft, Outlook.
- Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently requiring little or no supervision.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
Works in all areas of the company. Production facility exposed to continual machine noise. Equipment/Machinery Used:
Computer. Other office equipment.
- Able to lift 25 lbs.
- Able to sit for 8 to 10 hours at a time.
