You have an opportunity to join a fantastic team and be our newest contributor.
Assist in unloading log trucks. Loading log decks and upkeep of log yard. Safely and efficiently operate a front-end loader with forks and log clamp. Preferred candidate will have ability to operate a knuckle boom log loader. Properly handle, move, and store logs in inventory and in prepared loads.
TasksInspect equipment for safety prior to use and perform necessary basic maintenance tasks.
Ability to operate heavy equipment for extended periods of time.
Ability to occasionally lift and move 50 pounds or more.
Ability to operate a chainsaw competently and safely.
Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
Ability and desire to always wear personal protective equipment and follow established safety procedures.
Cognitive ability to interpret and follow established administrative procedures. Experience in log scaling and grading very helpful.
Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Operation and Control — Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
