About Us:

We are looking for a fast-growing automation company delivering high-quality electromechanical systems. We pride ourselves on precision, innovation, and teamwork. Our Sherwood facility is seeking detail-oriented Production Technicians (Levels I–III) to join our team and contribute to building premium cable and wire-harness assemblies.

Position Summary:

This role is ideal for technicians with exceptional manual dexterity who enjoy working with precision wiring and electromechanical assemblies. Soldering, cable building, and crimping experience are required—candidates without hands-on expertise in these areas will not be considered. You will assemble, test, and document cable harnesses and mechanical subassemblies while ensuring the highest standards of quality and repeatability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electromechanical systems per drawings, BOMs, and instructions.
  • Solder, crimp, and terminate small-gauge wire (24–30 AWG) with precision.
  • Perform micro-crimping consistently according to IPC-620 standards.
  • Build cable harness assemblies and route wiring accurately.
  • Apply labels and nameplates to assemblies per specifications.
  • Build mechanical subassemblies using various fastening methods.
  • Torque fasteners to specification and proper sequence.
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely (wire strippers, torque tools, Cable Eye, etc.).
  • Support precision assembly with fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
  • Inspect assemblies for defects, damage, or workmanship issues.
  • Perform electrical continuity testing using schematics and voltmeters.
  • Document redlines, as-built changes, and material tracking accurately.
  • Escalate discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist with packaging, kitting, material handling, and organization.
  • Maintain clean, safe work spaces and participate in 5S activities.
  • Mentor and train less-experienced technicians.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations on first-article builds.
  • Perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting of assemblies, cables, and panels.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Hands-on soldering, cable building, and crimping experience required.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and steady hands for fine-detail assembly.
  • Strong eyesight for inspecting small wire terminations.
  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–6 years of hands-on electromechanical assembly experience.
  • Proven experience crimping and terminating small-gauge wire (24–30 AWG).
  • IPC-620 proficiency (certification or training required).
  • UL 508A panel wiring experience (preferred).
  • Proficient with basic computer skills
